ImPACT Africa’s Training of the Trainers (ToT) program prepares educators to become experts and leaders in anesthesia education for their respective institutions or regions so that they will go on to train future generations of educators, thereby increasing the number of anesthesia providers and the population’s access to safe anesthesia care.

Through intensive ToT courses and on-going mentorship, educators learn how to develop clinical and didactic content, deliver curriculum, engage learners, conduct meaningful assessments, and provide feedback.

Our program is flexible in that we operate within existing anesthesia training programs and structures—assisting educators to adapt current curricula while also teaching them to utilize new methodologies and resources, such as simulation and our Learning Management System—and we also equip educators to develop and lead new anesthesia training programs where none currently exist.
